Week 1

1/26/25

Research on what placemaking and Citylab is. Plan out fieldwork and choose city. I worked on researching online and looking into different data sources.

Week 2

2/2/25

I conducted a walkthrough of downtown Bel Air which is the main location. I explored how livable, workable and what themes applied.

Week 3

2/9/25

This week focused on researching development and water sources in Bel Air. There are many major changes planned for the town. I looked at the pros and cons of the Five Story Mixed use building, Costco and other planned development.

Week 4

2/16/25

This week I looked at the different aspects of healthy people in Bel Air. I looked Upper Chesapeake Hospital and other medical facilities in the town. In addition, I looked at options for affordable and accessible healthy food. Bel Air has a decent number of childcare options, but healthy diverse growth opportunities can be harder to come by

This week explored stats on how empowered citizens are in Bel Air.

3/2/25

This week I had a baby so did not work much on this week.

Week 7

3/9/25

This week I compiled the data into presentation and met with a few people for feedback. I looked at all the themes and how each are impacted in the Bel Air Community.

Week 8

3/16/25

Met with other Town leaders. Finished research and questions on digital portfolio.
